Over the past two weeks we have lost two pillars in our Partnership community. Both were passionate visionaries who were committed to the Jewish people in Israel and around the world. Their tireless work and devoted skills will be greatly missed.
Shay Shoshany has touched so many of us since we have had the pleasure of working with him since the inception of P2K. He had been a constant at our steering committees, an avid advocate for young leadership development, a kind, sweet and gentle man. He and his dear wife offered us their wonderful son Snir as one of our wonderful shin-shinim! The Shoshany family is an integral part of our larger Partnership family. We have all shed many tears since his death; hard to imagine our Partnership without him in it.
Damon Rose was another of our giants who will also be so sorely missed. Damon, a man of passion and clarity was a wonderful advocate for our Partnership. He was always there when we needed him at our steering committee meetings offering vivid and yet charming understanding of bigger, national or international trends, ideas, possibilities or opportunities. Damon understood what best practice is and lived a life we were lucky to be a part of.
On a personal note, I have lost two friends. They changed my life and made me better by having them in it. I join the countless others near and far in celebrating the countless memories of these two men, cherish their memories and cry for their loss and pain their families must be enduring.
May their memories be for a blessing.
