As part of P2G’s vision to strengthen Jewish identity and Jewish peoplehood, Partnership2Gether is joining forces with “The Global Day of Jewish Learning”.
GDJL invites Jews around the globe and of all ages (including a specialized curriculum for schools) to participate in community based learning to celebrate the beauty and wisdom of our shared Jewish texts.
When is GDJL 2012? Sunday, November 18th
This year’s theme? “Jewish Concepts of Blessing and Gratitude”
- Blessings and Gratitude: brief summaries of curriculum units: English, Hebrew
- Global Day of Jewish Learning: Middle School Curriculum Unit Excerpts for Partnership2Gether (English and Hebrew)
What does it take to plan a Global Day event? It’s easy! Participating communities receive user friendly educational material and facilitators’ guides for various age groups, marketing material and support from the Global Day staff (Please see attached brief summaries of curriculum units and one example for activity). The beauty is that each Partnership can decide on the specifics of its Global Day event taking into consideration your target audience, resources and local interest. Each community event will be unique – some might be an all day experience while others only an hour or two.
To Register: Directly at the Global Day website (please notify your P2G Director in Israel) or via your P2G Director, P2G Living Bridge OR Educational Program Coordinator in Israel.
