The Impact of Peoplehood in Action

Ten Americans and 10 Israelis spent the past two years working together to develop a mutual understanding of the challenges facing their respective communities — Greater MetroWest and Ofakim-Merchavim — through the Peoplehood Project. “I was totally shocked to find that my host’s home and every other Israeli home must have a bomb safe room to obtain a certificate of occupancy,” says Peoplehood Project participant Charles Brand. “I slept in that room every night for a week. My host was a bomb disposal technician in the local police department.”
